He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Emil "Bill" and Nola Naomi Shackelford (Lloyd); his brother Billy Lloyd Shackelford; his former wife Marigene Shackelford; his great-nephew David Lee Shackelford II; and his father-in-law Rex Veasman Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Rexanna Shackelford; his children, Crisanna Lowe Shackelford of Ruckersville, Nola Rebecca Johnson (William) of Dixon, Venita Lee Shackelford of Goodyear and Samuel Scott Shackelford (Angela) of Charlottesville, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Abigail Llewellyn Wahlfeldt, Rachelle Chante Zerio (Alex), Austin William Johnson, Alora Jane Rebecca Rhean, Brianna Lowe Rhea Rhean, Cole Thomas Shackelford and Landon Andrew Shackelford; his great grandchildren, Aubrianna Llewellyn Green, Terrance Ray Campbell and Nolani Alexandria Zerio; his nephew David Lee Shackelford (Valda); his niece Beth Lynn Goss (Ned); his grandson Andrew Shackelford; his friend Jason Alexander; his son-in-law William Johnson; his grandson Austin Johnson; and his grandson-in-law Kenny Wahlfeldt.
