He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Thomas (Mickayla Thompson) and Tiffany Thomas (John Adams); and his siblings, Doris Vollmer (Ivan) of New Baden, Brenda Perkins of Lonedell, Mary Jo Declue (Bud) of Saint Clair, Karen Yount (Steve) of Dittmer, Teresa Shelton (Gerrell) of Dittmer and Dennis "Denny" Thomas (Emilie) of Dittmer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
