He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alford and Gladys Alford; his sister Louise; his brother-in-law Floyd Barnes; his brothers, Charles Edward Alford and Beryl Alford; his siblings-in-law, Emory Fager, Jim Harlan, James Roy Grissom and Dorothy Thomas; and his close friend Bonnie Sue Macy.
He is survived by: his children, David (Malinda) of Joplin, Kathleen Reiboldt (Bill) of Neosho, Dale (Terri) of Diamond, Don (Donna) of Diamond and Jan Garbet (Mark) of Granby; his sisters, June Harlan of Neosho and Dorothy Fager of Topeka, KS; and his siblings-in-law, Zelma Alford of Carl Junction, Dick Grissom (Wanda), Raymond Grissom (Donna), Robert Grissom (Beulah) and Ron Grissom (Debra). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
