It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Leroy Alford (Diamond, Missouri), born in Carl Junction, Missouri, who passed away on September 9, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alford and Gladys Alford; his sister Louise Barnes; his brother-in-law Floyd Barnes; his brothers, Charles Edward Alford and Beryl Alford; and his siblings-in-law, Emory Fager, Jim Harlan, James Roy Grissom and Dorothy Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, David (Malinda) of Joplin, Kathleen Reiboldt (Bill) of Neosho, Dale (Terri) of Diamond, Don (Donna) of Diamond and Jan Garbet (Mark) of Granby; his sisters, June Harlan of Neosho and Dorothy Fager of Topeka, KS; and his siblings-in-law, Zelma Alford of Carl Junction, Dick Grissom (Wanda), Raymond Grissom (Donna), Robert Grissom (Beulah) and Ron Grissom (Debra). He is also survived by grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
