He was predeceased by: his brother Mike Griffin; and his grandparents, Noah, Thelma Brown, Bo and Irene Shipman.
He is survived by: his parents, Lonnie Shipman of Baxter Springs, Kansas and Joyce Shipman (Brown) of Carthage, Missouri; his siblings, Jerry Shipman (Cathy) of Diamond, Julie Ball (Steve) of Joplin and Chris Shipman (Sherry) of Baxter Springs, Kansas; and his aunts and uncles, Curt, Wilma Brown of Diamond, Barbara Landers of Oklahoma City, Glen and Judy Brown of Jay. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
