It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zachary Gilbert of Dexter, Missouri, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Elizabeth R. Conway Gilbert of Dexter and Dan Gilbert of San Diego, California; his son Sam Niswonger; his stepdaughters, Jonna Pemberton and Olivia Niswonger; his brother Zechiel Gilbert (Jaimie); and his nephews, Matthew and Jonathon Gilbert.
In keeping with his personality and belief in helping others he made the decision to do organ donation so as to bring others a better quality of life and extend their healing.
