He was predeceased by: his parents, Ansel McLarance Clay and Margaret Ellanor Phegley Clay; his brothers, Bo and Gary Clay; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Clay and Vearl Knight.
He is survived by: his former wife Phyllis June McMullin; his sons, Matt (Sherry) and Brad (Stephanie); his wife Junie; his sister Sara Mae; his daughter Jera Ann (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, Joe, Sam, Matthew, Katie June, Andrew, Aiden and Emma Grace. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
