He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Andrew McClard and Myrtie Rose McClard; and his brothers, Jerry McClard and Harold McClard. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Halley; his children, Thomas McClard Jr. of Freemont, California, Jeanith McClard of Escondido, Myrtie Levesque of Nashua and Andrea Poggione of Reno, Nevada; his brothers, Sammie McClard of Bloomfield, Missouri and Bob Ellis of St. Charles, Missouri; and his nephew Andrew McClard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
