He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryant McCoin and Lorette "Dolly" Thurman McCoin; his son Scottie Wayne McCoin; and his brothers, Kenneth Dale McCoin, Clearance Lawon McCoin and Micheal Ray McCoin.
He is survived by: his daughter Sonda Michelle Cobb of Malden; his close friend Hazel McClish of Dexter; his grandchildren, Jessica Segraves, Justin Cobb, Kelsey (Martin Nel), Alyssia McCoin, Jaden Cobb and Maria Cobb; his great grandchildren, Emma Johnson, Madison Lowry, Bryton Segraves, Brently Segraves, Blake Lanier, Lucus Lowry, Oakley Segraves and McKenzie Nel; and his brother Tommy McCoin (Tammy) of Campbell.
