We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2025, at the age of 90, Ruby Mae Jones of Dexter, Missouri, born in Greenville, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Gentry and Curtis Connell Kirksey; her son George "Randy" Jones; her grandson Clayton Wilson; and her siblings, Helton "Buddy" Gentry, Jerry Gentry, Francis Messenger, Claudie Worthington and Mary Elizabeth Kirksey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Becky Lizenbee (Rickie Rainey) of Dexter, Missouri and Virginia "Katie" Wilson (Chesley) of Dexter, Missouri; her brothers, David Kirksey (Pat) of South Carolina and Johnny Kirksey (Marsha) of Gretna, Louisiana; and her grandchildren, Steve Hyten (Brandi), Marcella Dulworth (Christopher), JoAnna Strickler (Craig) and Pattie Leathers. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mathis Funeral Home (125 W Stoddard St, Dexter, MO 63841). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:10 AM at the same location.
