He was predeceased by : his son Rick Harris. He is survived by : his wife Shirley M. Harris of Dexter, Missouri; his children, Kevin Harris of Houston, Texas and Tammie R. Harris of Dexter, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Tasha N. Harris of Haymarket, Virginia, Crystal F. Cunningham of Dexter, Missouri, Dustin L. Cunningham of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Danielle A. Keaton of Washington, D. C.. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, four brothers and one sister.
