He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Alexander and Cora DeArman Garner; his siblings, Lester, Ivan, Hubert, Chester, Larry, Lewis, Loyd Garner, Myrl Cook, Emma Stallion and Norma Grubbs; and his son Donald Garner.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Garner of Dexter; his children, Debby Allen (Vernon) of Dexter, Vicki Walker (Phillip) of Bartlett, Tennessee, Ron Garner (Julie) of Dexter and Scott Garner (Emily) of Dexter; his daughter-in-law Jody Garner of Dyersburg, TN; his siblings, Marvin Garner (Evelyn) and Maxine Gillis of Dexter; and his grandsons, Justin Allen, Jeremy Allen, Bobby Garner, Sam Garner, Alex Garner, John Garner, Phillip Walker, Jr. and Stephen Walker. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 24 great- grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Home, Inc., in Paragould, Arkansas, or Bootheel Youth Camp, in Bloomfield, Missouri.
