He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus B Porter and Harriet Elizabeth Porter (Shy); and his sisters, Kay Kirk and Carolyn Allred. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Hente (Keith) and Mark Porter; his close friend Virginia McGonigal; his siblings, Lynette Fowler (Tim), Anita Hunter (John), Patty Frye, Edward Porter, Erwin Porter and Joe Porter; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hise (Austin), Shelby Francis, Bailey Porter and Audrina Porter; and his great grandchildren, Ella Kate Hise and Emma Jane Hise. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
