Maxine Gillis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Gillis of Dexter, Missouri, who passed away on March 18, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert A. Garner and Cora Lee DeArman Garner; her son Vernon Gillis; and her siblings, Bob Garner, Lester Garner, Ivan Garner, Hubert Garner, Chester Garner, Larry Garner, Lewis Garner, Loyd Garner, Myrl Cook, Emma Stallion and Norma Grubbs.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Gillis (Kelly) of Haughton, Louisiana, Phyllis Menley (Eugene) of Dexter, Nancy Viviano (Louis) of House Springs, Linda Stearns (Ronnie) of Dexter and Lori Whitehead (Virgil) of Dexter, Missouri; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Gillis of Bells, Tennessee; and her brother Marvin Garner of Dexter, Missouri. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
