He was predeceased by : his parents, JB Summers and Ora Lee Elder Summers; and his siblings, Lonnie Summers, Coye Summers, Bill Summers, James Buford, Robert Pelcher, Joyce Summers and Betty Phillips.
He is survived by : his wife Sharon Phillips; his son Kevin Doug Summers of Dexter, Missouri; his sister Connie Avery of Somerset, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Justin Summers, Matthew Summers and Candice Schroder. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
