He is survived by: his wife Sharon Phillips; his son Kevin Doug Summers of Dexter, Missouri; his sister Connie Avery of Somerset, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Justin Summers, Matthew Summers and Candice Schroder. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
