We are sad to announce that on March 26, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Lois Smelser of Dexter, Missouri, born in Grubbs, Arkansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Byrd and Jewel Ruby Byrd; her husband Floyd Arthur Smelser; and her siblings, Perry Byrd, Sydney Byrd, Roland Byrd, Donnie Mae Woodruff, Marie Miller and Pauline McGee.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Smelser (Juanita), Andy Smelser (Karen) and Jane Giles (Carden); her sister Joy Watson; her grandchildren, Kari Byrd, Bart Giles, Woodson Smelser, Matt Smelser, Becky Green and Sara Williams; and her great grandchildren, Banks Byrd, Anna Byrd, Hattie Byrd, Foster Green, Maddie Green, Jacob Smelser, Kate Smelser, Benton Giles, Sammy Giles, Mary Giles and Caroline Smelser. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Family suggests memorials be made to the Risco Rural Independent Club or the Risco School Scholarship fund.
