He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lee Mims and Lillie Bell Mims; his children, Larry Mims and Patricia Langston; and his siblings, David Mims, Jerry Ronald Mims, Harold Mims, Alfred Mims, Edward Mims, Ethel Rudd, Zieta Acorn and Alvey Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sue Lee; his sons, Gary Mims (Carol) of Potosi, Stephen Mims of Dexter and Terry Mims (Michelle) of Maryville, Illinois; and his brothers, Raymond Mims of Malden and Wesley Mims of Kokomo, Indiana. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
