She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Lawrence and Chloe Robling Lawrence; her son John Scott Mathis; her brother Jimmie Lawrence; and her great grandchild Xaiden Starks.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon Mathis; her sons, David Mathis (Cathy) of Wappapello and Greg Mathis (Lisa) of Dexter; her daughter-in-law Dana Mathis of Dexter; her grandchildren, Ambre Curran, Eric Lawrence Mathis, Lauren June Starks, Aaron Mathis, Hannah Hindman, Hunter Mathis and Elijah Mathis; her great grandchildren, Zach Curran, Jacob Curran, Madalyn Lockhart, Colton Starks, Camden Starks, Maurice Davis, Taylor Ward, Harper Mathis and Blake Mathis; her nephew Jeff Lawrence (Dianne) of Cape Girardeau; her great-nieces, Sarah Lawrence and Kelsey Gibson (Dane); and also Barrett Gibson.
