He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Otis and Tommie Marie Johnson (Rodgers); his nephew Charlie; and his brother Charlie. He is survived by: his children, Eric Smart of Dexter and Michelle Barks of Farmington, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Levi, Carl, Jayden, Bella, Mason, Nicole, Angel and Tony Ryan Matheney Jr.; his great grandchild Rosie; his siblings, Jimmy, Michael, Gary, Carolyn, Kathy and Minnie; and his aunt Mary Alice Beta (Gavin Kingston).
