He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Rowland and Myrtle Rector Rowland; and his siblings, Tom Rowland, Marvin Rowland, Hilda Myers and Gertie Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Carter; and his children, Gary Rowland of Bloomfield, Ray Rowland of Dexter, Allen Rowland of Dexter, Gene Rowland of Dexter, Terry Rowland of Dexter, Frances Williams of McGee and Kay Asbell of Dexter. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; by twenty great-grandchildren and by eight great-grandchildren.
