He was predeceased by : his parents, George F. Ross and Ruby Cook Ross; and his stepdaughter Denise Evans Marcum. He is survived by : his spouse Jean Pyle; his stepdaughter Joanne Tidwell of Dexter; and his siblings, Donnie Ross of Dexter and Sue Long (Charles) of Dexter. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
