James left this world on January 5, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Buster Arthur Todd and Gilethia Virginia Todd; his sister Gloria Sue Todd; his son-in-law Justin McGowan; and his great grandchild Myles Parker Gooch.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle McGowan of Dexter, Missouri, Shannon Todd (Teresa) of Little Rock and Wade Todd (Shelly) of Bernie, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Jesse (Becky McGowan), Kristine (Josh Gooch), Miranda (Cory Blocker), Andrew (Lauren McGowan), Shelby (Mason Hooker), Marcus Todd, Abby McGowan, Corbin (Madison McGowan), Braydon (Victoria Todd), Noah Day, Tyler (Hollye Day), Weston (Maddie Comstock) and Connor Todd. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home (125 W Stoddard St, Dexter, MO 63841). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the same location.
