He is survived by: his wife Peggy Frederick; his children, Jack Bess Jr. of Dexter, Sherri Hann (Brad) of Dexter and Karen Bess of Dexter; his siblings, Kenneth Bess (Ruth) of Bloomfield, Donald Bess (Gale) of Dexter, Bonnie Jaco (Leon) of Marble Hill, Betty Whitley (Michael) of Dexter, Brenda O'Connell (Tony) of Dexter, Janet Bracken (Joe) of Bloomfield and Shelia Bess of Dexter; his grandchildren, Victoria Bess, Kennedy Bess, Charlene Bess, Kaitlynne Hann, Nathan Hann, Parker Carnell, Zach Lesley and Courtney Norman; and his great grandchild Avery Lesley.
