He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Ferguson and Alice Studdard Ferguson; and his brothers, Clinton Ferguson, Bruce Ferguson Jr. and J. B. Ferguson.

He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Burnett; his children, Mike Ferguson of Malden, Eddie Ferguson (Sarah) of Rose Hill, Kansas, Candy Duppass (James) of Arnold and Windy Freeman (Tara) of Spokane, Washington; and his sister Betty Arnold of Bogard, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
