We bid farewell to Elvena Martin of Dexter, Missouri, born in Fisk, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 21, 2025 at the age of 82. Elvena touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her son Corey "Petey" Martin; her parents, Elam Newsom and Lucille Newsom; and her brother E. R. "Sonny" Newsom. She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Sr.; her son Ronnie Martin Jr. (Nicky) of Puxico; her grandsons, Ben Martin of Piggott, AR, Brandon Coleman (Bethany) of Gordonville and Nathan Martin (Julia Williams) of Cape Girardeau; her great grandchild Baylor Coleman; and her sisters, Marian John, Carolyn Williams of Fenton and Judy Farthing (Joe) of Bridgeton. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home - Dexter (125 W Stoddard St, Dexter, MO 63841). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
