He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Townsend and Fay Wilson Townsend; and his siblings, Marion "Sonny" Townsend, Virgil Townsend and Betty Noyes.
He is survived by: his children, John Mince (Eva) of Titus, Alabama, Connie Wills (Dave) of Cape Girardeau and Linda Klaproth (Kerry) of Jackson, Missouri. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mathis Funeral Home - Dexter (125 W Stoddard St, Dexter, MO 63841). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
