It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Massey of Dexter, Missouri, born in Sikeston, Missouri, who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Haud Ellis Dunning and Francis Gladys Dunning (Matthews); her son Ricky Massey, Sr.; her son-in-law Ronnie Martin, Sr.; her grandsons, William Massey and Stanley Summers; her sister Dolly Jackson (Bobbie); and her niece Starla Kay Mairs.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Massey (Patty) of Poplar Bluff, David Massey (Dorothy) of Campbell, Johnny Massey, Jr. (Tina) of Bernie, Missouri and Janet Martin of Campbell, Missouri; her siblings, John Dunning (Dorothy) of Lodi, Wisconsin and Gracie Jones of Trinity, Alabama; and her friends, Marty Starnes, Jessica Starnes, Jack and Lydia Penberthy. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
