Shelba Whitter Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shelba Whitter of Desoto, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 17, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Vest and Myrtle Vest (Cardwell); her husband Paul J. Whitter; and her sons, Larry Whitter and Rick Whitter.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Whitter (Carla) of DeSoto, MO, Sheryl Burroughs (late Tom) of Converse, IN, Pam Osia (Lindell) of DeSoto, MO and Patti LaRose (Louis) of DeSoto, MO; and her siblings, Dale Vest (Kathy) of Potosi, MO and Carolyn Conner of DeSoto, MO. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto Chapel (900 N Main St, De Soto, MO 63020). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery.
