He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Politte and Marvin Politte; and his siblings, Norma Payton, Lavern Thouvenot, Joan Wilson, Richard Politte, Gene Politte and Jerry Politte.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma "Pat" Politte; his children, Paula Jean Thomson (Rich), Frances "Frankie" Ann Hanna (Tom) and Jeffrey Gerard Politte; his grandchildren, Malachi, Meghan, Emily and Kate; and his great grandchildren, Maddy, Brody, Bailey, Alex, Natalie, Wyatt, Gemma, Sadie and Emmett.
His love for family was shown when his brother Richard needed a kidney and Paul did not have second thoughts to see if he was a match, he was and on May 15, 1975 Paul donated his kidney to his brother.
