It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lela Belle Frances Mitchell of Desoto, Missouri, born in Fredericktown, Missouri, who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Oscar Bone and Mary Bone (Hicks); her husband Lloyd L Mitchell; her daughter Cynthia Mitchell; and her siblings, Ralph Shrum (Lillian), Robert Shrum (Elwanda), Carl Shrum (Emily), George Shrum (Willy), Nellie Lane (Stanley), Nettie Matthews (Harold) and Mary Fiscante (Art).
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Mitchell (Bridget) of Washington, MO and Gwynn Shelby (Michael) of Dittmer, MO; her grandchildren, Beau, April, Gene, Kelsey, Michaela and Jessica; and her great grandchildren, Rylen, Gavin, Maryssa, Vera, Ruby, Grant, Nyla and Amos. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and dear friends.
