He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Erik Daugherty and Iola Marie Recar; his son Brett L. Daugherty; and his brothers, Earl A and Roy Eugene Daugherty.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie K. Daugherty of DeSoto, MO; his children, Larry G. Daugherty of DeSoto, MO, Eric K. Daugherty of DeSoto, MO, Alicia Chantell Daugherty (Ricky Perry) of St. Louis, MO, Latisha K. Boyle (Michael) of Pekin, IL and Nancy K. Schneider (Robert) of Saint Peters, MO; and his brother Dennis D. Daugherty (Mary) of DeSoto, MO. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
