It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Walter Blackburn of Desoto, Missouri, born in Bertrand, Missouri, who passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Blackburn and Hattie Blackburn; and his brother Richard Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Ellen Blackburn of House Springs, MO; his children, James H. Blackburn of Kansas City, MO and Hope E. Troxel of De Soto, MO; and his sister Nancy Ashmore. He is also survived by four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, along with numerous family members and dear friends.
