He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Courtway and Dora Courtway; his daughter Stacy Peck; and his siblings, Joseph Courtway, Jimmy Courtway, Nelson Courtway, John Courtway, Rosemary Oshia and Margaret Pickett.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Courtway of DeSoto; and his sister Virginia Adams of Lemay, Missouri..
