She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Sapper and Jean Sapper (Bridges); her former husband Pete Selzer Jr.; her sisters, Rita and Reta Sapper; her parents-in-law, Pete and Virginia Selzer; her sister-in-law Janet House; and also Betty Thurston.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tracy Burns (Rob) and Carmen Higgins (Dewayne); her grandchildren, Casey, Rion Burns, Madison Nohren, Destiny Higgins and Bailea Higgins; her stepchildren, Mendy Findley (Josh), Jamie Thurston (Ken), Travis Thurston and Robie Thurston (Allison); her siblings, Becky Sapper, Greg Sapper (Kathy) and Joe Sapper; and her children, Montse and Christina. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren.
Family asked that memorials be made in memory of Joy to the choice of the donor.
