He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edwards and Eunice Edwards (Jenkerson); and his siblings, Norman, Charles Edwards and Wanda Stumbo.

He is survived by: his wife Myra "Maydean" Edwards (Prier); his children, Doug Edwards (Karen Dickerson) and Sherri Yaklin (Larry); his grandchildren, Kristofer Edwards, Devin Yaklin and Kyle Yaklin; and his great grandchildren, Radley, Tesla and Ellie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
