He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander "Ray" Kester and Garnett Lizzie Kester (Dorris); his wife Margaret Maxine Kester (Lercher); and his siblings, Cuba Lewis, Gladys Kester, Lloyd "Red" Kester, Floyd "Blue" Kester of Boyd Kester, T. J. and Paul Kester.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Richard Edgar (Carolyn) and Andrew Kester (Keri); his great grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Jonathon Edgar, Cameron and Ethan Kester; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley and Cricket Kester. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
