He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Herbert and Ora King, Jr.; and his siblings, Darrell King, Marcella Lovins, Norma Decker, Ruby Garland and Nora McCain.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Schriver (Terry), Stephen King and Mark King (Christina); his grandsons, Stephen King Jr., Kevin King, Mark King, Jr. (Mollie), Nathan King, Zachary Schriver (Morgan) and Jacob Schriver (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Bennett King and Kennedy Schriver; and his siblings, Carroll Gray, Debra King, Lorna Snyder and Luke King (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
