It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Raymond Barrett (Des Peres, Missouri), who passed away at the age of 91, on August 19, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Jeannine Embree Barrett; his stepdaughter Holly Morris; his parents, Walter Barrett and Bernice Barrett; and his brother-in-law Donald Embree.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Breckenridge Barrett; his children, Tim (Margaret), Dan (Carolyn), Kathleen Barrett Ruth (Jim) and Pat Barrett; his stepchildren, Brick Storts IV and Don Breckenridge, Jr. (Stacey); and his sisters, Janet Klingler (late Otto) and Mary Ann Shanahan (late Mike).

“Ray was a great man who you could talk to. I loved seeing the plaque when you entered the building honoring Jeannie. I loved my time working at Biomedical and working with the Barrett’s. A memory I have is about a box of chocolates I bid on at a raffle and Ray kept bidding higher. Ray got the box of chocolates and for coming in second place Ray gave me a bat signed by Stan Musial. Ray was a boss, friend and father figure. I miss him. Bob Mahon Jr.”

I heard about him through family members that worked for both of them and he sounded like a wonderful man. This world would be a much better place if there were more men like Mr. Barrett.
