He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Townsend and Susie "Pauline" Townsend (Curtis); his brother Dennis Townsend; and his former spouse Pat Crain. He is survived by: his wife Lauraye Henderson; his child Dana Wade (Ben) of Barnhart, MO; his grandson Jacob Sherrill of Festus; his siblings, Donnie Townsend (Karin) of Piedmont, Bob Townsend (Marcia) of Hermitage and Susie Townsend of Paducah, KY; his sister-in-law Donna Townsend; and his great-niece Chyanne. He is also survived by daughter; and many nieces and nephews.
