She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Surface and Viola Surface (Lusk); her son Melvin Johnson; and her sister Mary Vanmater. She is survived by: her children, David Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Bryan Johnson of Steedman, Michael Johnson of Thebes, Illinois, Michelle Johnson of Cape Girardeau and Lisa Moit of Scott City; and her siblings, Melvin Surface of Delta, Marvin Surface of Leopold, Missouri, Nancy McIntrye of Cape Girardeau, Linda Wells of Jackson, Joyce McCalf of Delta and Judy Crane of Delta. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twenty-two greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel (115 W Hickory St, Scott City, MO 63780). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kenyon Cemetery.
