He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hester and Eula Schearf Hester; his siblings, Pauline Argulee Hester and Robert Eugene; and his sister-in-law Patricia Ann Hester.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Waddle; his children, Paul Hester of Delta, Neil Hester (Shelah) of Cape Girardeau and Sarah Hester (James Mensing) of Carlyle, IL; his brother John Hester (Dolores) of Highland, IL; his grandchildren, Kimberlie Nothdurft (Dustin), Daniel, Stephen, Cameron and Riley Hester; his great grandchild Kole Nothdurft; his daughter Alison Kelley; and also Joe Burger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
