She was predeceased by: her parents, Fielding Ballard and Hazel Ballard; and her siblings, William Ballard, Shirley Best, Vera Pelzman and Ellen Pawling.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Abbott; her daughters, Tina Farrell (Tom) of DeKalb and Tonya Knorr (Frank) of DeKalb; her grandchildren, Baylee Knorr (Gavin Raney) and Brody Knorr; her stepgranddaughter Hannah Smith; and her sister Hazel Hall of St. Joseph. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (6054 Pryor Ave, St Joseph, MO 64504). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
