He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Charles and Emma Charles (Roe); and his siblings, Leonard, Troy, Joseph Charles, Gertrude Stephens, Luella Stephens, Mae Carson, Beulah McGhee and Leoda Stacy.
He is survived by: his spouse Patsy Chubb; his children, Chris Charles of Defiance, MO, Randy Charles of Defiance, MO and Leona Charles of Defiance, MO; his sister Deloris Bachel of Oakland, CA; and his sister-in-law Shirley Charles of Greenville, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
