He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry John Thomassen and Ida Mae Thomassen; his sister Patricia Mae Alter; and also Cartwright. He is survived by: his spouse Cynthia Thomassen of Defiance; his children, John Thomassen Jr (Aisha) and Vicki Thomassen of Defiance; his grandchildren, Alyssa Martin (Sean), Courtney Franke, Julie Thomassen, Aubri Thomassen and Jordon Thomassen; his great grandchild Rowan (Thumper); his sister Donna Thomassen; his spouse Cindy; and also Lake Saint. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
