It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leon Emery of Deerfield, Missouri, who passed away on March 19, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth L. Emery and Nettie Lee Emery (Carpenter); his brother Dee Emery; and his son-in-law Larry Clements. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou (Saathoff); his friends, Johnny Brooks, Wally Thompson and Wolfe; his children, Mike Emery and Kenna Clements; his grandchildren, Aubrey Elkinton (Dusty), David Klumpp (Joni), Jenny Emery and Aaron Emery; and his great grandchildren, Halley Elkinton, Talya Elkinton, Caden Klumpp, Ryden Elkinton and Sam Klumpp. He is also survived by one sister.
Memorials are suggested in his memory to Regional Hospice-Joplin or the Parkinson Foundation c/o Ferry Funeral Home. *** Those in attendance will be asked to maintain social distancing and are asked to wear face masks to protect themselves and others.
