She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert Malson and Nellie Bussey; her husband Richard Smith of Dearborn; her brother Richard "Rex" Malson; her daughter Kimberly Hay; her son-in-law Robert Hay of Excelsior Springs; her son Jeffrey Smith of Plattsburg; and her grandchildren, Melody, Harmony, Melina, Abra and Melissa. She was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
