With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma M. Martin (De Soto, Missouri), born in Cherryville, Missouri, who passed away on April 8, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Hafley and Verda Hafley-Renshaw; her husband Stanley Martin; her sons, Marvin Newkirk, Jr. and Dan Newkirk; and her grandsons, Nicholas Clark and Andrew Clark.

She is survived by: her children, Debra Newkirk Clark of Orlando, FL, Marty Newkirk (Faye), De Soto, Linda Brasile (Tom) of Myrtle Beach, S. C., Valerie Newkirk Roderman, Victoria, Laura Newkirk (Greg Meredith), Kelly Newkirk and Randy Newkirk; her siblings, Mona Daugherty (late Merle), Eunice Hatfield, Barb Cook and Charles Renshaw (late Donna); and her stepchildren, Rick Martin, Vicky Taff (Charles), Phyllis Conway (Rick), Steeleville, Carl Baker (Debbie) and Allen Adams (Beth). She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
