He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Portell and Mary Theresa Portell. He is survived by: his wife Ann Portell of De Soto; his children, Amy Coomes (Jeff), De Soto, Aaron Portell (Heather), Amanda Portell (Liz) and Troy; his grandsons, Dalton Coomes, Austin Coomes, Tristan Jacobson and Logan Jacobson; his sister Barbara Ann Mottin (Robert); his cousin Bud Portell; his friend Gerry Fink; his close friends, Butch Hubbard, Randy Compton and Mike Christopher; and his pet Shih-Poo.
