He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman A. Bax and Bertha M. Bax; his wife Phillis D. Bax; his daughters, Connie Guthrie and Christina Massey; his grandson David Thompson; and his sister Cathy Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Bax (Diane) of Lee's Summit and Michelle Lashbrook (Mikeal) of Evansville, IN; his grandchildren, Zachary Bax (Caitlyn), Megan Tindall (Christian), Cody Staffelbach (Sarah), Courtney Westby (Kyle), Cameron Lashbrook, Madison Lashbrook, Gene Thompson, Alishia Thompson (Samantha), Sammy Jo Travis (Joe), Brandon Massey (Kelsey) and James Massey (Catherine); and his siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Schneider, Lawrence Bax, Diane Coleman, Joseph Bax, Herman Bax and Pauline Brockes Vasey. He is also survived by several Great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home (220 N Main St, De Soto, MO 63020). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel (220 N Main St, De Soto, MO 63020).
