He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Beardslee and Rose W. Beardslee; and his brother-in-law Mike McKim. He is survived by: his children, Jordan Beardslee, Emily Beardslee, Matthew Beardslee and Jacob Beardslee (Elaine); his grandchildren, Finn Beardslee and Rory Beardslee; and his siblings, Ruth Beardslee, Elizabeth "Betty" McKim, Patricia Fischer (John) and John Beardslee (Darlene).
